Guts2Glory shared Life After Spinal Cord Injury [SCI]'s photo.
Today's shout out goes to LASCI friend Alexandria Marie! She says, "I was in a really bad car accident when I was 17 in 2011 (now 20), that severed my spinal cord at the T12 and L4 level. After the accident ... the doctors told me I would only ever be able to sit up in my wheelchair again and would never progress. I was determined to prove them wrong and told everyone I would walk, no ifs, ands, or buts. I got the braces you see in the picture and walk with them and a walker part time plus treadmill train and use my stim bike. I've made so much progress and my plan is to fully recover. 3 yrs after injury -- I am now a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant who just earned her first and second huge promotions. My red jacket and Team Leader Status. I now have 13 strong beautiful women under me and my goal is to be a director with our Company by June and to walk across the stage in Dallas Texas as a debuting sales director. I couldn't feel more blessed to be with this company and to have made to progress I have. All it takes is a little determination and strong will. God Bless everyone!!" KEEP GOING, ALEX! WE'RE ROOTING FOR YOU! — with Carmen Joachim.
